This simple house frames a view onto a beautiful Perch Lake. The owners insisted on keeping the shoreline trees, allowing the house to rest peacefully in the background while its occupants enjoy the glittering lake that laps right up to the edge of the property line. The house has a modern feel, but also retains a sense of place with vernacular details and local textures throughout.
A simple mud room leads to the living space.
The owners’ initial vision was for a big wall of glass looking out to the lake, with a fireplace in the middle.
A simple stone patio engages the lake.
