The Huska rancher renovation came to fruition through multiple phases and multiple years, as many mountain home renovations do. After extensive triage to rescue and modernize the home, the owners wanted to celebrate the strengths of a sprawling floorplan, updating bedroom suites and major gathering spaces to maximize comfort for a growing family. We aimed to express the owners’ modern taste and artistic sensibilities through textured stone, rustic wood, subtle geometries, and a general love of the color white. The eclectic exterior of the house shows its evolution and curiously provides the perfect backdrop for an unashamed swimming hole. Family fun abounds.
